Dale Duchesne is an individual possessing expertise in the area of border policing, national security/anti-terrorism policing, criminal intelligence, police governance and globalization and policing. His interests are transnational criminality, in particular how the economy of the globalized world impacts the nature of policing. Dale Duchesne is also very involved in researching police interoperability and police governance.

Dale Duchesne is currently researching how Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLAT's) factor into transnational criminal investigations and how international police cooperation is facilitated by MLAT's. This is contextualized in a post 9/11 era as relates to security issues between allied countries.
